Open the list of records, right click any column header, then select Export and a format: Excel xlsx, CSV, XML, JSON, PDF, Export Set, or Google Sheets, then select Download when it finishes. No role is required except XML, which needs the admin role. Each format defaults to a 10,000 record export limit, Excel is held under 500,000 cells, and anything bigger has to be broken into chunks or moved to an export set or a web services request.
What it holds
Incidents, requests, changes, configuration items, and every record in platform tables.
Find the size
The platform displays the total number of records at the top of a list, so read the count per table there. A list control can be set to remove the pagination count for speed, which hides that number.
