Answer
Get the range, fill the intake, let buyers see a codename teaser, send samples under NDA, take a price, sign a licence, deliver a copy, get paid. Two to eight weeks from access to payment on most deals.
1. Range
Headcount band, years of records and country. The range shows at once and nothing is stored.
2. Intake
Which systems you run, roughly how much each holds and the years covered. Counts and dates, not files.
4. NDA and samples
A mutual NDA, then sample files so a buyer can price the record it will receive.
5. Price and licence
A buyer prices, you accept or decline, and one licence sets the scope, term and payment.
6. Delivery and payment
A copy is exported and delivered. You keep the originals. You are paid out of what the buyer pays.
