Licensing company records

Can I sell my company's data to an AI lab?

You license it rather than sell it. Ownership stays with you. A buyer gets a defined right to train on a copy, and labs are paying six and seven figures for the operating record of an ordinary business.

01

What a buyer is actually buying

Not your product and not your customer list. The record of people doing work: mail threads, jobs won and lost, drawings, tickets, invoices, the ERP, the shared drive. Public text is already trained on. Fifteen years of a real company deciding things is not.

02

Who qualifies

Twenty people or more, three years of records or more, United States, Canada or United Kingdom. Operating or wound down, both work. A company that closed last year is often the cleaner licence: the rights are settled and nothing is still being added.

03

What is refused outright

Substance use and behavioral health treatment records, employee assistance files included: 42 CFR Part 2 has no de-identification exception and stripping names does not fix it. HIV records. Medical and clinical records about any person. Privileged client files. Classified or export-controlled material. Anything under a litigation hold. Anything your customer owns rather than you.

04

What it costs you

Nothing. No fee at any stage, no commission, no retainer. We pay for de-identification, validation, storage and delivery. You never speak to a buyer.
